What a day. It seems like itś been a really long time that weve all been waiting to get our placement announcement, I think we all got the ganas during our site visits... in the past trainees havent been told until later in training, but regardless today, when it all came down to waiting through the shiver giver peace corps video, then our regional directors multiple jokes about how nervous we all must be it seemed like forever. But we all have our sites, and people seem excited.
I am headed to a small town of 500 people in the Comarca Ngabe Bugle. I will be working primarily with growing beans, rice, maize and a little bit of coffee. Some business and marketing will be involved and maybe some work with an womens artisan group. I am really excited! Tomorrow we start to learn the language, which should be a welcome challenge!
Next week we head to culture week, in my case within the comarca then directly to training week (I think I will be attending coffee training.) So the rest of training is going to go fast.
Please forgive the bad grammar... I cant seem to figure out who to make an apostrophe on this machine.

Can't wait to hear more about your site! It was so nice to talk to you, and thanks for calming my nerves. I am going to send you a small package before I leave, and I just wanted to see if you had something in mind that you wanted me to include. Let me know! Sending you a big hug!
